[Kalos + Eidos + Tis]
An Exhibition of Photo Mandalas
The Wings Art Gallery announces Kalos +Eidos + Tis as its third exhibit of the Spring 2012 semester. The gallery, known for its powerful and socially engaging exhibitions, will proudly bring together the works of Christine Carroll. The Wings Art Gallery will present an arrangement of kaleidoscopic like images, digitally layered to transform recognizable objects to illusive photographs.
The Wings Gallery press release states, “The visual impact is truly unique and best witnessed in person. Carroll’s pieces transcend ordinary objects into an abstract environment that entices the viewer’s creativity. The geometrical collision demonstrates her passion for both the arts and sciences. “
The exhibition is set to feature Carroll’s more recent works. “I create a complicated set of circumstances that allow me to transform the written word into a visual, multifarious, and beautiful form,” says Carroll.
The Wings Art Gallery gallery is located in the Student Service Center (SSC) on the second floor in Room 2210. The reception will be held on March 14, 2012. The Gallery will be open for viewing 10:30 – 2: 00 Monday and Wednesday, and 10:30 – 4:30 pm Tuesday and Thursday.
“It has been an exciting and busy semester for me,” says Carroll. ” As I am graduating in May, it feels good to finish strong. I’m counting my blessings!”
